Baba Lakhi Shah Ji Vanjara USA Sikh Society is a community-focused Sikh organization dedicated to preserving Sikh history and values, strengthening sangat unity, and promoting seva through diwans and community programs across the United States.
Our inspiration comes from Baba Lakhi Shah Ji Vanjara—remembered for his fearless devotion and seva in Sikh history.

Visit lohgarh.comBaba Lakhi Shah Ji Vanjara is remembered in Sikh history for his fearless devotion, courage, and selfless service (seva). He belonged to the Banjara (trader) community and was a devoted Sikh of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the Ninth Guru of the Sikhs.
When Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was martyred in Delhi, the Mughal authorities tried to prevent anyone from claiming the Guru's body. Baba Lakhi Shah Ji took a brave stand—he secretly carried the Guru's body to his home and set his house on fire to cremate the Guru with dignity, protecting the sacred remains from desecration.
His act of courage is honored as a powerful example of sacrifice and devotion. Baba Lakhi Shah Ji's legacy reminds us to stand for righteousness, serve with humility, and remain steadfast in faith.
